1) Desmind: NAMED after philosopher David Hume, which is his last NAME!! Desmind David Hume
2) John Lock: Named after PHILOSOPHER John Lock!!
3) Daniel Roeseau: Named AFTER philosopher Jean-Jacques Roeseau!!

So it will be revealed on LOST soon that either they are SHAPESHIFTERS, or that they are the ACTUAL persons, which would make Desmind 294 years old (tomorrow), John Lock 373 years and Daniel Roeseau 294 years TOMORROW!! It is also KNOWN that David Hume was INFLUENCED by John Lock!! David Hume was Scottish, Desmind ASWELL! Roeseau WAS really Italian!!
