The MAGICAL hatch!!

After VIEWING the season 2 finale for the 32nd time FRAME by frame, I have FOUND that the HATCH is magical!! YOU probably think I'm crazy, BUT hear me out!! So WE saw that one of THE two required batteries for THE station's POWER to work is BROKEN. BUT then, SUDDENLY, when Desmind makes THE blastdoors go OPEN, THE power is back!! This is IMPOSSIBLE, unless they FOUND a new BATTERY!! I'm NOW 108.4815162342% SURE that Desmind is AN other, because he PROBABLY did something WITH the computer to MAKE the POWER go into A backup POWER-LINE!! Or MAYBE he DID something IN that ELECTRICAL cabinet!! EITHER way, He IS an other!! Or should I say "Him" is AN other!! I BELIEVE this is GOING to BE a big PART in FUTURE episodes!!
